The Press Club will pay tribute to the men and women of the Armed Forces including our own Press Club veterans who have proudly served the military.

Speakers will include Delaware County Daily & Sunday Times reporter Kathleen Carey. In October 2009, Kathleen traveled to Iraq to embed with the 1-150th Assault Helicopter Battalion, covering state Representative Nick Miccarelli, R-162, of Ridley Park, as he served as an Army National Guard helicopter door gunner in Basrah. Also speaking will be entrepreneur & Chick-fil-A franchise owner Gene Ontjes who has been recently travelling on missions and will have just returned from a trip to Algiers and Jordon.

Blue & Gold Star Mothers will join us representing The Delaware County Veterans Memorial in addition to members of The Marine Corps League, General Smedley D. Butler Detachment.   

The luncheon will be hosted at the new soccer stadium in Chester - PPL Park. Please visit the PPL Park web site for directions.

Guests will have the option for a 30-minute VIP Behind-The-Scenes tour of PPL Park at 11a.m.

If you wish to participate in the tour, please arrive by 10:45am.
Complimentary shuttle service is available, but your RSVP is required by Monday, November 15th.
The shuttle will depart at 10:15am from the Granite Run Mall parking lot near Peking Restaurant.
