WHO CAN JOIN?

Active membership is available to individual professionals, full-time or part-time, active or retired, working in the field of communications, including print and broadcast journalism, public relations, marketing, advertising, writing and photojournalism for profit and non-profit organizations.

Membership is also open to individuals who are nonprofessional writers, volunteers, public relations representatives, communications students and teachers, and professionals in allied communication fields, such as printing.

Active membership may also be held in the name of corporations, industries, agencies, and businesses.  Corporations, industries, agencies and businesses may elect to name one active member to the Club to officially represent the firm.  Such members shall hold all rights and privileges of the Club as set forth in the bylaws.  In the event the person designated to be the representative cannot attend meetings, another person may be selected by the firm to attend meeting with full privileges of the Club.

 

Honorary membership may be offered to individuals in recognition of benefactions or of other meritorious service to the Club or to the communications profession in general.

The Press Club may request to review a prospective member's portfolio to verify eligibility requirements.
