About the Event

The Press Club celebrates the conclusion of a successful season with a Happy Hour event at The Towne Hall in The Towne House. The Happy Hour ticket price includes live music entertainment by Vincent James, appetizer stations, and a cash bar.

The Happy Hour also features a look at The Towne House “then and now,” as the Club takes a trip down memory lane.  A slideshow presentation highlighting many of the Club’s past events at The Towne House will kick off the Happy Hour followed by a private tour of the five unique dining spaces: The Towne House, farm-to-table where modern meets nostalgia; The Shebeen, an intimate pub with traditional Irish cuisine; Idlewild, an

open-air courtyard; The Colony Cocktail Club, a sophisticated lounge; and The Towne Hall, a versatile event space.

The end-of-season event will also include a brief overview of the Club’s 2021-2022 season; recognition of the outgoing Board members; introduction of the incoming Board members for the 2022-2023 season; announcement and introdcution of the four recipients of the Club’s endowed scholarships at Penn State University, Temple University, and Delaware County Community College; and presentation of the Club’s annual financial award. The annual award rotates among colleges and universities in Delaware County offering Communications studies majors where permanent endowments honoring past Press Club members do not exist. This year, Cabrini University will receive the award. Steve Highsmith will attend and accept on behalf of Cabrini.

Press Club events are open to the public. Tickets for the Happy Hour event are $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers and walk-ins.

Special Request: Please consider bringing a new book or two for students in grades K through eighth for the Press Club’s Book Drive.
